Elizabethan Christmas Stockings, are the design and work of award-winning quilter, Elizabeth Aranda Rohrbach. A resident of PA and mother of four, Elizabeth lived a short time in Japan where she learned the culture, language and cooking, which earned her recognition and 1st place on Oprah Winfery's cooking contest. While in Chicago as Oprah's guest, she cooked for Luther Vandross, Pam Tillis, and Oprah. And, once back home, she quickly recovered from her 15 seconds of fame and began quilting once again.

Then, while making holiday items one year, she put aside another quilt to make Christmas stockings for the family of her Swiss au pair. Placing thin ribbon in a lattice pattern on stockings - similar to that of her quilting -  the Classic Ribbon Lattice stocking was created and has become her signature - and copyrighted - design.
Since 2000, when the business began, she has added personalized cuffed stockings, feather trees, German Candle Carousels, stained glass stars and snowflakes, flame-worked glass icicles, and even knitted hats and scarves. To keep her creative juices flowing, Elizabeth adds new stockings each year using different velvet colors, trims and embellishments.

This season, the entire Rohrbach family is very excited to be a part of Bucks County Magazine! Just before the weekend of our 2005 Holiday Open House, Bucks County Magazine photographers will be at the farmhouse, so the photos and copy can be prepared for the Winter 2006 issue. Come visit us and see for yourself how this 1734 Pennsylvania farmhouse inspired her to deck the halls. Take in the beauty of the season with live piano and Christmas cookies, all while benefiting local United Way agencies, including Habitat for Humanity!
