Since the 1600's, craftsmen from the wooded regions of Germany have created stunning wooden toys turned on the lathe. We are quite pleased to offer a selection of German Christmas Candle Carousels, beautifully crafted and carved with literally centuries of woodworking talent behind each piece, taught and practiced from one generation to the next. Since the mid 1800's, they were made and used during the Advent season, very similar to an Advent wreath, but today German Candle Carousels are used throughout the holiday season. Only the regal Christmas tree can compare to these wonderful Christmas decorations - their charm and beauty is simply unmatched as the heat from the candles slowly turns the tiers about. Children are enchanted with the spinning Christmas scenes, and as each piece is so meticulously created, you can be assured of years of use for many Holiday seasons yet to come. Our largest Christmas Carousel, beautifully crafted with 4 tiers! The top tier has 3 trumpeting angels, the second a shepherd and 4 sheep, the third Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, an angel and shepherd. The bottom tier has the Three Wise Men, a shepherd and 2 camels. Each tier is surrounded by delicately sculpted railing, with 6 candles needed to spin the Christmas scenes.

3-Tier Christmas Candle Carousel
This 3-tiered Christmas Candle Carousel has three angels on the top tier, a shepherd with sheep on the second, and a Nativity scene with the Three Wise Men on the lowest tier. Three candles with red candleholders accent the woodwork in green and gold, and it stands about 14" high.

2-Tier Candle Carousel in Natural Wood
A 2-tiered Candle Carousel is offered with a natural wood finish, accented in green. The top tier displays a shepherd and his sheep, while the lower tier again displays the Nativity and Three Wise Men. This carousel is a bit heavier and more substantial than the others offered, so it requires six candles to spin the scenes. Approximately 15 inches high.

Trimmed in gold over white, this lovely German Candle Carousel has the same Christmas scenes as the first, with trumpeting angels, a shepherd and his flock, and the Nativity with the Three Wise Men. Please note: Always tend to the candles diligently, and never let them burn unattended. Do not let candles burn all the way down; replace when 1/2 inch remains.
